Hope Labatts doesn't take real long to unload my pick up appt is 1300 and trailer has to at least -10 before they will load . Deliver at 0930 it's only 10 miles to where I pick up and last time I loaded here there pretty fast under a hour.

when I delivered there earlier this tour of duty, it was 4 hours to unload, over an hour before security made me leave with 6 rejected cases, and another hour before Jennie-O said chuck it. A quick wash-out, then tried to pre-cool the trailer. Which put me 15 minutes early for my appointment to reload(if it's a bakery place that goes to Evansville). The trailer didn't have enough time to get down to temp, so it was another hour or so wait to be 'worked in'.

talk to your travel agent, sounds like he/she isn't doing their job.

However, I did eat some decent 'trucker crockpot chili'. It wasn't as fancy as what was posted on the food forum, but coming from someone who use to burn water, it was one of my better attempts at a meal. Sorry, no pic's...I use a crockpot liner, so a pic wouldn't do it any justice.

    tucker and Pigbacon Thank this.

You know I have learned not to write the lumper check out until I have the bills signed at some of the larger places, it's amazing how they'll let you hang around to wait for the money...damages sure get out, but no lumper payment and no you can't go anywhere lol.

One of our drivers uses lumper payment to stay at a shipper to complete his break, leaves one number off and swears the office hasn't got back to him. Then again he was the same guy who Magnum had to talk to about alway unloading his own truck lol.

Does Magnum get upset if we fix our own air line leaks? I had my trailer red supply line spring a leak just past the spring at the glad hand. I didn't feel like waiting for a call back from Magnum's breakdown "on call" person, and the Albert Lea Petro shop was busy (guy ahead of me was told 1 to 2 hours for a tire change). They had a replacement fitting, and I had crescent wrenches, so I fixed it myself in about 30 min? I figure I just saved the company about $70 in labor alone, the part was only $15.

    Pigbacon Thanks this.

Cool deal. I used a DOT approved fitting, and it was a job simple enough, even a cave man could do...so I didn't think they'd mind. Besides, I had laundry to do in CR (before the road got any worse) and chili to cook.
