KLLM treats the single drivers well,, a large majority of the trucks are single drivers. The Insurance is OK,, a little high on the deductible(for other than your family Doctor which is $25), it $750. All companies have there good and bad that come with them. But as long as you keep a good attitude you will go far. Stick around the drivers lounge and listen to the belly acking you'll start doing the same, and end up going down the same road. So keep that in mind and you will do well.

Too true about the drivers lounge BS sessions.

Don't feel bad about a $750 deductible. Crete's BCBS just went up to $1000 no long ago. The price you pay for having a company with older, more experienced drivers i guess.

No company is perfect, you just try to find one where the good points outweigh the bad. And some drivers good points are other drivers bad points.

Do they have much driver unload, or are they like Crete, don't hesitate to pay lumpers so the drivers don't wear themselves out or get hurt?

They pay the lumpers. My husband has never touched a load.

Hey man, glad to hear you got your license straightened out, that sucked that they screwed up like they did. How was your trip back with "deal breaker",,lol he didn't talk you to death and tell you how he was a great truck driver did he...lol I got one of those old VSI truck,Levi and I both did, I don't know what happened to chad. Never heard anything else from him when they gave him his truck. (which was also a old VSI truck). The SE Regional sucks I can tell you that. I'm taking the truck back to the yard on FRI. Good luck to you,and keep in touch.

Got my Class A CDL today. Have two more weeks in trucking school. Got a pre-hire from KLLM, CTL, and US Express this week. Hoping to go with KLLM very soon. Took my Haz-mat test today and sent in my background check and fingerprints, which should be no problem. That will go on my CDL with my tanker endorsement as soon as it gets back to me in about a week to two weeks. Can't wait. I've been anticipating this move for over a year now and I'm ready to get on the road with a trainer soon I hope. THANKS to Ledbetter for all the posts and correspondence from all of you. Hope to see some of you out there before too long. :yes2557:
