Yes you are.
Unless the truck has been abused, seriously abused, you can just have it welded and go on your way.
I have never had a truck that took more than two days for a clutch or pretty much anything.
Never ever had to replace the bell housing and only once replaced the clutch housing on the engine because of an accident with a jack - the shop paid for that. Never ever had a flywheel replaced only resurfaced.
Also never ever pay up front for repair work. If a shop can't get the parts on credit, then bill you for the work, run from that shop. They should work on a 30-90 payment to a dealer or parts company. If they don't they are mismanaged.
And watch out for the shops that break things to make money. I drive a truck that went in for a clutch adjustment at a shop I would never use. Everything comes back screwed up but this company uses them because they are cheaper than a dealer. It came back with the clutch adjusted but all of a sudden the lift axle bag blew out where I've never seen one blow, and that was replaced for $700 ... now has a serious air leak which it will have to be fixed right, not by this shop.
8 work days to replace clutch??

I bet if you name the shop someone on here has dealt with them and can say whether you're getting screwed or if they are legitimately repairing a mess you call a clutch job.
