Running with JCT, Part Deux

No really much difference in miles between the two routes. I would say that it would be personal preference. Are you empty or loaded? If loaded and heavy, I would choose to take the 25 down to 10 that way I don't have all the pulls on 17 between Flagstaff and Phoenix.

 

I'd probably go down to Phoenix just to get that $2.14 fuel.

 

Yeah, but if loaded and heavy, that uphill climb to Flagstaff and the constant up and down to Phoenix will kill the mpg. I think it would be better just to keep going down hill and run the flat over to Casa Grande would be better for the mpg.

And... I didn't realize we had all disk brakes on our rigs...heh

 

Maybe the new ones. The '14 and '15 have disk brakes only on the steer axle.

 

Ummm weird my 17 has drums on the drives and disc on the steer.

 

I think it's just on the steers
