JCT does not have the Arctic package.

And only the earlier 2014s are tied in to the truck. I had mine tied off a month after I got my 2014 and never had a problem with starting, either the APU or the truck.

Right. JCT dont. Just saying the TK can keep the engine "warm" with coolant.

I never had a problem starting the truck in the cold either. Even in the Penn blizzard. My TK had cold weather starting issues on my 14, sometimes taking a couple attempts. I did, however, have overheating issues with it and its tiny coolant reservoir, but that could have been other problems that i just solved by opening the top door.

The TK also offers a high output cab heater, higher than the base model, along with a 120 amp alternator to replace the 65 it has base. Nice.

If I won the chopper, I'd be like "keep it, put a tk evo unit on my truck"

Or sell it and do the same.

    ...I'd keep the pickup though...

@scottied67 was asking about his truck so I answered accordingly.

In extreme cold weather, I could hear mine chugging a bit, but it would always start during the 1st cycle.

As far as overeating, I had TK doable the fan relay switch so that the fan stays on full time while APU is running. Had an overeating issue one summer and learned really quick to keep the condenser and fan clean. I had so much dirt that it caused it to overheat.

I can't image needing a larger output heater.....The regular one used to run me outta the truck. ESPAR doesn't play!

Yep, I could use a new pickup. Mine's a 2003 with only 72k miles on it. Still runs good but sitting all the time is not kind to the metal parts.

    I don't do bikes......

Yeah I agree, that heater has to be for people who just stay up north a majority of the time. Like in North Dakota and such when it gets really cold.

I'm not looking too forward to winter with this ComfortPro. That ESPAR was a dream, and the APU didn't hardly have to come on during the winter to keep me toasty. I'll probably have to have a good backup now, like a heating blanket along with my trusty backup cold weather sleeping bag.

Not that I went into really cold weather that often but I did get stuck in Cheyenne, North Platte, Penn Turnpike and such last winter.

Today's a sad day. Making my delivery in Lakeland then heading home. The wife is getting of the truck for a few months to take care of some medical issues she can't address on the road.

Gonna be weird not having her with me 24/7.

Got my tractor back from freightliner. I wonder if they put enough grease on the 5th wheel.
