Did you need the 30 minutes to complete your run? posttrip only needs to be like 5 minutes walk around deal. Remember on paper logs post trip is a straight line down, straight line back up to Line 1 or Line 2. Pretrip just takes as long as it takes. But I think you'd be safe showing 15 minutes daily.

...and if a farmer wants to remove that mandated "safety" stuff, they can. Be silly to run a tractor in the field without fenders, but if the farmer enjoys dodging dirt clods, it's his choice to remove the fenders.

But the point was, that farmer still has to pay for many things that are unnecessary. Like engines shut off features if they leave the seat and dozen other little goofy stuff. The make PTO shafts so "safety minded" that it is a true PITA to hook up PTO shafts from implements to tractors. And even greasing PTO shafts is more complicated.

Yes out of the factory not installed afterwards. And he has the choice not to buy new and get tad older without that stuff. Would it be in his best interest maybe maybe not. So as I said I give it to you all on the farming to a degree. But it would be like a farmer buys a tractor 2000 or newer and they must put a working radio on it because music is keeps him awake all in the name of safety. Some would anyways others don't need it or want it LOL
And we still Must get these 2000 or newer.

So do y'all have to follow hours of service rules? 11hrs driving 14hrs on the clock max with min of 10hrs off between shifts and 36hr reset once per week?

34 reset is optional, not required. 10 hrs can be broken up in a 2 (sleeper or off duty) and 8 (sleeper).

If one is doing 8 and 2 splits, must the 2 be recorded as sleeper or does off duty also satisfy the rule?
