yes you can just lease on and haul poles... there is no reason why you couldnt. I did it for 6 months but got tired of setting waiting for loads

How much those pole loads pay and I guess its hard finding a good paying backhaul?

pole loads around 1.80 a mile sometimes a little more and backhauls around 1.40.... they will tell you that they pay more but remember you only get a percentage of what they quote you

Unless you know some secret way around it. You can not just lease on and start pulling poles or any oversize for that fact.

Not in the last year and a half since the new rules were started.
