I was going to go with a $300 generator to start with. My load to Omaha was cancelled, which stops my plans togo to Iowa 80 truck stop and buy the frame grabbers plus the angle pieces.

In UPS I had two long loads cancelled one to Baltimore, that I'm happy about, the other to Omaha, which I was not happy about.

 

Most likely. They should have a weight rating of some sort. As long as they are up to the weight of your new genny they should be fine.

The product description maybe? Something that says "for tool boxes up to 50 lbs" or some such nonsense.

Pete, what size box are you putting the gennie in? And what will the weight of genie and box be? Figure those two things out and I'll do the math to see what size angle ya need. Or just get 3 inch angle quarter inch thick and call it a day. They will hold anything you could lift by hand and then some.

 

Screw that. Spend 2o bucks on angle and make brackets that will hold 1k lbs. NEVER worry about them breaking when ya hit a big pot hole.

 

Pete maybe you can mount a small reefer trailer fuel tank 25 gallons. You could probably find one fairly cheap at a junk yard.

 

Total weight with box and Gen is around 110 So its not gonna be that heavy

 

i would watch those 300 ones i havent ready anything good from them lol
