It's a chicken load, which is even worse. My favorite ones are the freshly plucked ones. You can always tell who just picked up one of those at the truck stop: they're the ones who are draining like a downspout in a gully washer out the drain holes. Even better when your directions to the pick up include the words, "turn off the paved road".

I use to load and haul live chickens for a chicken plant..."turn off the paved road" directions were easy, it was the "after the 3rd tree farm on the left (that they cut down 2 years ago), turn left just past Nate Johnson's place, go down a good piece and turn at Bob Dickson's barn and the farm will be over yonder on the right". .and this is going in at night...and then it would go "awww c'mon Carl, he's a #### Yankee...you gotta' draw him a map"...and the map would be the exact same directions, only in doodle form.

I will admit, my times at Poly were much better than here, but 4 months without insurance...the money wasn't that much better to compensate for that. Perspective employers are being screened by not only pay but insurance coverage delay time...60 days is the max at this point. Besides, I have this rule about never going back to a company once I decide that things had gotten to the point that I felt I had to leave.

Chicken plants are always fun, not.

Word to the wise. Don't leave your window down, unless you enjoy the company of flies.

And the plant I worked for had the only rendering processing facility for the company. Dump trucks full of all the parts they couldn't figure out how to sell were coming in from all over GA to our N. FL plant to dump their loads in the gut pit so it could be ground up, pulverized and cooked into what looked like Malto Meal so they could add it back into the rest of the ingredients to make chicken feed. Nothing was wasted, I always swore, if they could figure out how to use the clucks of the chicken, they would.

Oh...I had nearly managed to block off the grey matter containing memories of the swarming black clouds of death. Thanks for the refresher. you guys ever been to one with a tannery on site? Good news: you can no longer smell the chicken bits! Bad news: I can only conclude the early christians had never been to a tannery when they decided that phosphorus and brimstone were the worst smells they could come up with for hades.
