Stopped in Amarillo to add antigel to the reefer tank before heading further north on 287. Another driver tried to tell me I didn't need to and I was like yes I do. I'm heading north with southern fuel in the tank. If I don't, it will gel up when I get to Wyoming. I will do the same for the truck when I get to my fuel stop in Cheyenne.

Haven't used it in 13 years of doing reefer, but there's always the first time.

I had my fuel/ water seporator freeze in joplin last year while on my 10. my truck was getting just enough fuel to idle. had to let it warm.

With a sub zero wind chill in Wyoming, I figure better safe than sorry with the reefer on start/stop.

I swapped with a driver over the weekend cuz he didn't have hours to make the stops. Swapped at the Walmart in Winslow in the dark. In the AM, I do a complete pre trip of trailer.
-1 bad tire, flat spots on 50% of surface
-1 turn signal light out
-1 leaking air bag, so bad it loses air in tank in about 30 minutes
-1 brake drum worn down to rivets
-3 leaking wheel seals
On top of that, the driver had the trailer air bags set to dump instead if ride.
