The full size truck is best for OTR. It's bad when you have to take the passenger seat out just to have storage space.
Did you look at Schuster?
Check Britton Transport refrigerated division.

Does J&R go out west much? Part of the reason I want to do OTR is check out the states I haven't been to (the entire west coast, north/southeast.

When you deliver to NJ, cross your fingers for a gentek building products load out of Avenel.... great 2000+ miles runs out of that place. -
Navajo Express run out west a lot and has a terminal/drop yard in Chino,CA. They will fly you to Denver for orientation; no bus to deal with.
Danny Herman Trucking runs west coast a lot also and don't run New York City or northeast.
Don Hummer Trucking runs all over.Last edited: Dec 23, 2016
milehunter43 Thanks this. -
AN Webber gets out west all the time. Delivering water heaters is a great gig. In 14 months with them, I've been to WA several times, OR, CA, UT, NV, CO, ID and SD to deliver them. By far the best job I've ever had.
Metallica88, Rusty Trawler, milehunter43 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Knucklehead Thanks this.

I read that Prime sends their drivers to Concentra for the DOT Physical (was hoping they had an in house doc). That right there is making me lean towards J&R.
