Might be mixin up terms, i dont have spider extensions so i can only reach halfway across my deck, i have a pallet puller for when i need it, but i can crab sideways, use that all the time. 20 foot product through a 10 foot door

A major crash or malfunction won't stop the technology. They will just try to fix it, issue a report blah blah blah, 50 lives lost in a major self driving truck pile up is a small price to pay for corporations after money at all costs.

The govt. will most likely provide every citizen with a "Universal Income" to live on, sort of welfare for all when the robots take over. And then eventually the robots will advance further and start self replicating and destroy the entire human race and humanity as we know it. Good times ahead lol

Ah gotcha, yeah spider/crab here goes sideways, I don't have an extension so I try to keep most of my stuff on the driver side

The article stated replacing 80 -100% of 1.7 million jobs. It doesn't elaborate as to which jobs will be replaced (Line haul, P&D, OTR, Foodservice, etc.). I'd love to see Otto navigate the busy city streets doing multiple stops delivering to customers with minimal space. However, I do think the technology will challenge team and OTR drivers.

They're commonly referred to as TWIC and HazMat.
