On a side note...a review of my miles ran since I returned to JCT...30745 miles in the quarter, with approx 3.5 weeks taken off in that time. Impressive in my opinion, although I won't see the safety bonus as my 1st trip out of the gate was dispatched on Sept 30th...so that trip (1300ish miles) wont count towards the bonus. Still, impressive miles for someone sitting on his arse a lot, and a testament to the strong miles JCT gives you when you actually do work.

I took Christmas time and Thanksgiving time off. Also, it doesent count all the time where I did pass through visits since I live off I40 on the Arizona border. So the per diem is a bit misleading on how much time I actually passed through the house.

Yeah I need to get to that level. I'm just in a rebuilding phase with the household finances. I've got a child with disabilities which keeps the wife from really being able to maintain employment, having to take him to therapies and stuff, keep a good set of wheels under her because its a 2.5 hour round trip 2 to 3 times a week for his therapy. So I kinda gotta hold up the household while she keeps it down.

I will say (And this may be sad depending on how you look at it) but this has been my highest income job I've held. Its allowing us to operate as a one income family. At the expense of time. I'm hoping in a few years, when I get the truck paid off, I'll slow down and maintain the same income level but at much less driving time.

Or sniff around the food service distribution center they are building next year in Bullhead City/Fort Mohave.
