And still would have crushed the other vehicle, not to mention causing heavy cargo damage from the abrupt stop.

No reason for that and if it were to happen it may be considered a sin by omission, best to just keep it to oneself, IMO.

When I was in the office, I asked the lady I worked closely with in compliance to pull my DAC. There was 1 inconsequential preventable accident reported by May Trucking my first year of driving, they provided very little detail.

The other was a file from Market Transport (from whom I had quit) stating they wouldn't rehire me. They didn't even say what happened, or, why LOL. Neither one was any sweat off my back anyways ;-)

The millions of valid responses to this question is exactly why we are not going to be seeing autonomous trucks any time soon.

Good to know. Apply to other companies in secret, that way when you give notice at your old company and they start posting to DAC it's obvious to the new company they are being bitter.

That is a debate that is being worked on by the autonomous stakeholders. I read an article that they are trying to teach smart cars to of course avoid hitting people, but also to favor 'acceptable losses' like if there were a group of 15 people in the car's path, the car should swerve and if the only other choice is to hit 1 person in an alternate path, that is the path to take.

    Ooops Thanks this.
