"You drive for 8 take and half our break and then drive for 3 hours."

The 30min break must be taken BEFORE the 8th hour, no? So no more than 7 3/4hr. At least this is according to our log people.

Huh?? the pre/post trip time is sort of a given, as is lunch breaks, potty breaks, etc. Let's not make this any more complicated then it needs to be. The point is, you can still drive 600-650 miles a day (have 11 driving hours) depending on your driving preferences on top of the PTI's and fuelings, assuming you don't take excessive breaks. PTI's never reduce your available driving time in terms of the daily 11 hour max allowance

Not required, only a post trip inspection is actually required.

Are we being asked to do the OP's homework assignment? I feel so used ...... again.

I was just offering general pointers based on general assumptions and expecting general results. It never occurred to me that maybe a specific ETA time reply was hoped for.

That's about how I do it, but I have shorter runs with my current carrier. I hate running with no margarine () of error. It is too stressful. To me, the most valuable part of my GPS is that I can constantly be comparing the miles left with the time left. In always doing the math. Every 50 miles, I make a mental calculation.
