...so...the company drivers having to honk the freakin' horn 6-3000 times before they back up now...that makes for a restful night's sleep at the OCs, eh?

...nice to see Home Depot still completely fabricates their pick up times, and that taking their communal breaks together is more important than doing their jobs and meeting their own commitments. No, it's totally cool to now expect me to magically be okay to drive all night after being up all day. No problem at all. I wish there was another reliable means of getting home anymore.

I am sorry to hear about your job. But to let you know, they do this as a practice it seems. And it must be a practice of theirs as well to put on the report that instead of getting terminated, you quit. I do not know if I agree with them doing that. The issue is that you if you cannot get hired on somewhere else right away, it is hard to receive unemployment. A company is looking at the DAC report of incidences and how many in a time frame. NOT really if you quit or got fired. Wondering how it is working out with Swift?

You do know that the HD in Dallas is run by Swift. And be careful , they don't know how to load trailers. And if there are any fabricated times, it's usually done by C/S.

Yeah, well, the one in Topeka run by us is just as bad. It's the warehouse workers, honestly, and neither we nor Swift can do a #### thing about their "progressive work environment" attitude. God forbid a HD employee be stressed out over expectations regarding productivity.

I find that a lot of these places have a majority of employees who are either too young or lazy to know what "Work Ethic" means or too old or incapable to be highly productive despite their level of work ethic. Then you end up with about 10 people out of 50 who fall in the middle and are forced to carry the other 40. Half of those people then become bitter and jaded and either make everyone else miserable, thus reducing productivity further, or they quit because they are overworked and underpaid. This nets the same results.

So I was informed on Friday that letters have gone out. If you do a truck swap or bring a new truck on with Schneider Choice, you are required to have Ongaurd, Bendex or one other ( not Wingman ) cant remember the name. You are required to have it installed at your expense. Further more all trucks that are currently under contract will be required to have one of these accident mitigation systems installed at their expense, by no later than July 31, 2018 or their contract will not be renewed with Schneider. Lets hear your thoughts on this. Mine are this is not a good thing. Wingman which comes in a lot of Kenworths and Peterbilts is not on the list. The only reason that I am thinking it is not acceptable is because it does not communicate with the Qualcomm. Seems like being an IC with Choice is turning into No Choice.

Well there goes my hope of being an I/C in the future. Although this has been looking quite bleak lately. You know, when Schneider began using Onguard, they were only getting it installed on new trucks still in the factory because they stated it was too expensive to install on the existing fleet.
