JRayL in Ohio has a guaranteed minimum, but don't know what it is.
One of their drivers posted about it recently, but don't remember the details. Some of those drivers are local though.

Respectfully disagree.$1000 I assume before taxes is kinda low.
Working only 55h makes no difference if he sits at truck stops and not at home.

You say it's kinda low... for a company driver with less than 3 years of experience? Not that I totally disagree, but I don't see any ither company offering more?

Not sure if I put this in the original post, but I average less than 2200 miles per week, which would be .45 per mile. I do spend a lot more time setting around than I would like, but at least I'm getting paid. I'd personally rather be moving than sitting though.

The weekend home is great, as are only 2,200 miles - but not all of us live near enough to a company with a yard close enough to do that. As for $1,000/week gross, that's $52K/annual before taxes and expenses. I see that as mid-stream for a driver with at least 1 year of full time work.

The discussion about gross or net rages on. I don't like the gross number because everyone has different costs, taxes, and expenses on the road. I used to have a motto on my page: "It's not how much you make, it's how much you keep." I mean it, that's why I prefer to use a net income number for comparisons.

It sounds like you have a comfortable employment, Outdoorsman. That's a good thing, and hard to do with trucking companies. Unfortunately. Like a girlfriend, (or significant other of any kind) if you like it, keep it.

That's what I am saying. If you sit on the road you should be either being paid for sitting or drive.
For comparison 28 months of driving experience, 1099 company, just spent 6 days on the road 3700 miles,AZ run, made about $2000.Should have been done faster but my dispatcher is an idiot.

Well, if I'm right - a 1099 is contract pay - and you're not a company driver (per se)...

I know there are ways to make more money - but that's not what this thread is about. I'm asking if there are any Companies out there that pay a guaranteed salary over $1000 per week and guarantee 48 hours at home every weekend?!

And... since it's salary - I'm being paid for anything I do or don't do... ?!

It's hard to guarantee anything. Driver pay needs to be performance driven to ensure you get the most out of your employees. I've heard of a few companies guaranteeing 1000 per week when stuff slowed down, but they require you to stay out minimum of 2 weeks.

There are a number of companies out here that guarantees over $1,000 a week like Chinatown mentioned above. K&B Transportation pays a minimum of $1,125 gross a week but most drivers gross way more than the minimum. I personally NET over $1,000 every week. But the difference is we don't get weekends off. You have to stay at least 12-14 out and then you get 2 days off. And I'm sure there are other companies that pays even better than K&B
