Trailer axle is at 34,680. Tandems are at 40'. What's the highest weight you can get away with in CA? Is tandem overlength an OOS violation?

34,000 is 34,000 doesn't matter the state you would get either an overweight or the bridge rule if you try to push the tandems too far back. Neither are oos but still a ticket.

It's a kpra violation, not bridge law.

Going to back to the shipper isn't an option--the load came from Laredo and A-hole dropped it in PHX with the tandems at 41 feet. He even left me a scale ticket as if to say, "Look! It's good!" Needs to be kicked in the nuts over and over again.

Refuse to pull it. It's not your job to run illegal.
If it cannot be fixed by rework, it needs to be split into 2 loads. It's somthing the office needs to come up with a solution for.
I cannot emphasize eniugh. Do not pull illegal loads. Your livelihood is worth more than working for a company that cannot run legal.

Refuse the load. What I would do is set it at 40 feet KPRA and send a copy of the overweight cat scale ticket to your company. They'll have to pay someone to come out and take a pallet off that's all there is to it.

Also, what are the steer and drive weights? It might just need to go to someplace that crossdocks to get loaded correctly. Still somthing the office needs to handle though.
