Showers aren't that hard to find. Use body wipes in an emergency; can get them at Walmart.

ANY significant truck stop will have private shower rooms that will have a toilet, sink, and shower stall. Very few have no showers and very few have showers unfit to use. Most any will provide for a free shower, by one means or another, with the purchase of 50+ gallons of fuel (ask inside at the fuel desk how their program works). Otherwise, $5-$12 will get you a shower and towels and soap.
These typically also include a bath towel, wash cloth, and floor towel and some form of soap. Rarely you may have to provide your own towel at some small, independent truck stops. Their "clean status" is up for debate and depending on who you ask but I've been showering in trucks stops with truck stop towels longer then many drivers today have been alive and I have no health problems.
I'm a driver who showers 9 out of every 10 days if not more. Only reason I may not shower one day is for logistical and timing reasons. Daily clean, hot showers are not a problem for north american truckers. They also typically have continuous hot water so no more issues with running out of hot water like used to be. I say that but I remember the small independent truck stop in Moses Lake, WA a month or so ago ... ran out of hot water just as I was starting my last step, shampooing my hair. I made it out okay, though.
And BTW, the 50 gallon for free shower means you can easily get 1 every day for the typical truck driver. Key is planning your fueling accordingly.
However, truck stop shower situation 20-30 years ago and beyond? That's a whole other discussion.Last edited: Mar 5, 2017

Its not the fact of finding a shower, its drivers who refuse to shower but maybe once a week. You have 30 min and 10 hr breaks to find a shower. Yet some drivers rather go around smelling like sour milk than to take a shower everyday

There are some drivers that I would gladly pay Blue Beacon, Iowa 80 or any truck wash to give them a shower

if you skip shower for a week or two then your skin looks 10 years younger.
