Everyone knows they pay HMG mileage. There is no good reason why they do it.
The "best" load of all was Poland Spring from Kingfield, ME to Scenectady, NY. Actual miles 390, paid miles 330.
Basically they paid to drive in a straight line over mountains while the only practical way to go was 390. I found a shorter way that I tried once but I was pulling 4th gear up this mountain in VT and even that way was still 355-360 miles. I tried adding up the miles every way possible (even restricted roads) on the atlas and I could never find how they came up with 330.
Why Did You Quit Schneider?

Million milers actually worked about a year for FREE in accruing that million miler designation. Let that sink in a minute.thekidsixer, Dave_in_AZ and diesel drinker Thank this. -
Multiple that by how many drivers.
The thing I love best about them is all the drivers on their fleece program, always starting threads on how come there is no real money, at a company that has both company drivers, and where all the management salaries are heavily bonus driven.
Where does the bonus money come from?

Toomanybikes Thanks this. -
I did really good the year I was on choice but I got out right before it started tanking bad. Now Schneider thinks they can bully everyone around because everyone and their brother wants into the program. Well eventually enough people will leave to make them rethink things if they want the program to continue.crb, Toomanybikes, 48Packard and 1 other person Thank this. -
Here is theit lease yard in Phoenix. Look at all those shiny lures, just waiting for that next fish.
The two by the hook like repo's to me.EatYourVeggies, Getsinyourblood, Dna Mach and 1 other person Thank this. -
Enjoyed the OPs post. I never worked at Schneider, but I have work for another mega. What the OP said about Schneider, could be said word for word for just about any other mega:
They all run their drivers to the other side of the country then they live on just to make it harder to quit. They all promise 2500 miles a weak but only deliver around 1700, then short you on some made up HMG. They all promise detention and layover but find every excuse in the world not to pay it. They are all micromanaging nazis that have no real concept of safety, and only use safety training to justify their worthless existence and salary paychecks for desk jockeys.Odin's Rabid Dog, Ooops and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
But my prior comment had nothing to with Schneider, it had to do with drivers screwing themselves by posting on here.Toomanybikes and crb Thank this. -
Now one of your butt boys may have copied and pasted something you wrote, too get even more of that brown #### all the way up in their nostrils, that scenario, I have absolutely 0 doubt occurred. In fact the limited stuff I've seen, I'd say there's really only two posters, maybe three, that would do such a thing, and I'm sure you know who they are as well.
So what was " incriminating "? You were charged criminal liable? -
Violated mobile device policy and called them out on here for contradicting positions (no cell phone policy while at the same time sending drivers text messages notifying them about loads)
Also it's no secret that some drivers monitor the load board while driving. So I tried to book a load once on the shoulder of the road once I got a text message on a load. The load was gone within the 10 seconds it took me to book it. They didn't like that I tried.Last edited: Mar 22, 2017
