I did two weeks with my TE at Schneider several years ago. That's all I needed, just show me the basics and I'll get the rest on my own.
Most of these CDL mill companies use "trainees" as cheap labor. Driving team in a training situation is just as hilarious as it is scary.
Why Did You Quit Schneider?

I mean if your the guy in upper management at whatever mega, your privy to whatever sinister plan that is their SOP.
And i'll bet you dime to donuts, they target people out of school for their D/M's / entry management that have lots of debt. Especially in student loans.
They can be programmed to do anything. Especially if they get married / house / blah, blah. Then that guy or gal is gonna burn anyone, and everyone rather than risk his in debt up to his ### existence.zentrucking and bamamac Thank this. -
Resurrecting this thread again. If I'm going to work for one of these rookie companies starting off I might as well go with Western Express. Some swear by them saying the lack of driver cams, no phone calls and they do little micromanaging is great. While others say they are the bottom of the barrel but they say that about SNI, Werner, Swift, etc. I like the Western Express trucks. A clean white truck always looks sharp in my opinion. Only thing that concerns me is messing up my DAC but sure that only happens when a driver just abandons the truck under load.

Hmmm.
Shoulda had a dash cam if you were really great. I always protect myself for that reason, idiots everywhere. -
60 mph that's too slow... I hate the 1-800-hows my driving number. People can just make stuff up because we made them wait a second. Where's my number to complain about some of the cars???
At least they didn't put in cameras and mic like Pride Transport did. -

I'm just a dumb driver but it seems like most folks would do 3-12 months at a mega then move to a better company, right?
The companies that hire no experience drivers are not built to retain drivers. Their business plan includes you quitting before a year is up. So, quit.
I'm always surprised when I meet someone who has been driving mega for five years when they live in an area with 20 pretty darn good carriers that pay way more.
Reminds me of my 'trainer' at McElroy. He was a piece of ####. Lives in the Charlotte area. Drove Mcelroy 5 years. Spent three weeks with that miserable retard.
Anyway, use the mega for enough experience to get on with s better company.Dna Mach Thanks this.
