The servers weren't changed until a couple of weekends ago, the problem was finding programmers who knew the old system. The crash on the Monday after was a result of redirecting users to the new site from the old one. They have made updates on a weekly basis , it's not like effort isn't being made . Could you imagine being an IT guy at mercer now? But even the mobile app had more apple problems when rolled out. I do think that the beta testers didn't provide proper feedback. But the reality is calling people dumb, donkeys , etc, isn't going to accomplish one thing. The scrolling problem was said to be taken care of in the latest bulletin. I have asked this before but did everyone get the email with the user manual??

Excellent post, you really give it a different perspective. After this initial wildness it will seem like it's always been here. Just a matter of time.

If you mix green with red can turn to oatmeal. Bad stuff. You really want red elc nitrite free 50/50. Good for 1 million miles.

I suppose it would work just fine but, all this coolant nowadays that claims to mix with any other coolant just doesn't cut it with me. Just the look of it all mixed together scares me. I only run Rotella ELC red in my truck, if it is not available I will run water only temporarily until I can get some.

When I compare it to the load board my previous company's board there are things I like better about Mercer's board & there are things I like better about the previous board I used. But as long as I'm not missing out on loads because I don't know how to use the board properly then I'm fine with it.

Not getting into brand names but as long as it's nitrite free removes the cavitation problems.

If they are making changes on a weekly basis, that means it was not ready, and they should have kept the old one up until it was. Can IT imagine not getting paid if the board isn't working, cause that's what happens when people can't use the board. People can't call the bank and say, hey my payment will be late but don't worry about cause I'm working on it. That's where people get upset, 99% of us are not out here for hobby, we do it to pay bills.

    To add:
Go watch the Facebook video made by Contractor relations. Everyone was assured that the old board would not be taken down until everyone was comfortable with the new one, that didn't happen!!

I should have said two steps forward and three steps back. Perhaps Mercer didn't realize how much contractors depended on the board because the coordinators felt it was in their best interest to keep as much of that information to them self as they could.

Still there is no excuse to release and force you to use something so flawed. I don't think they would do something that insane to the billing dept.

What the IT Dept didn't realize is that many of us are now self dispatch and don't have a coordinator looking for freight so in addition to my 2 iPads and iPhone I had to purchase a laptop just for load searching or I was dead in the water. I used to use an auto refresh browser app that I could set to recognize the word "matched" and an audible alarm would sound when I got a matched load so I could be searching 24-7 if I wanted to and never miss anything. When I mentioned this to the IT Dept they said that they can't design their program to work with browsers they don't even know exist but also had no interest in adding the word matched to the program again either. If they would just get rid of the darn pop up window on the matched loads search that would cure it and I could set it to search for the word "available" instead.

The changes made are improvements, corrections, etc. Just like was done with the old load board. The old load boards end was extended several times, in order to give people time to use both and make the transition. Fact is, many werent going to transition til the old one was gone. The old one is gone , we can continue to moan and groan about should a, coulda or woulda or we can give constructive feedback and learn to use the new one as we go. I understand a 30 board guy has utmost importance in this.
