As a few others have stated, that's not entirely true. I'm not going to argue with you about your experience or mine because that would be pointless, neither of us is living life as the other. I know my coordinator refuses loads for me, without calling me, when she knows I'm going to say no anyway. Do i get occassional calls from her about stupid loads? Yes, but she does NOT call me about EVERY load. The fill ins do. I will get an occasional call from an agent, but I've not had any just random Joe Blow in the office call me about anything. I've had agents call about their loads, I've had fill in coordinators call about loads I'm matched to, when my coordinator isn't there, and I've had my coordinator call, that's it. I don't need to be babysat or have my hand held. I came to Mercer because they don't do that. I'm not saying you need or want that for yourself, but clearly your experience here has been different than mine and my guess is it's because I've made it clear I don't need them to waste their time or mine trying to do stupid things that I'm going to ignore or when its a 99.9% chance I'm going to say take that load and shove it.

I feel your pain. Lol. I actually don't mind calling my coordinator, but i prefer the app. Also, i didn't get my load scanned in to get paid tomorrow so I'll have to wait a whole nother day. I really like getting paid every load.

Never but if you are on good terms with some agents it nice to help them out when they really need it but I don't think anyone would run a bad load you all ways have the choice to say no

Yeah it all came together pretty quick and I just happened to be on a load to Seymour, IN when I got the news so I got everything wrapped up and headed down here.

Ended up picking the oldest trailer they had, a 2013 Great Dane but it was in rally good shape, newish tires, brand new shocks and brake pads, and best of all only 26 payments left.

Talked to John with Knowles and he looked at my trucks short wheelbase and APU and had a good plan for getting the headache installed with a bracket on the apu side so feeling good about that.

What is the shortest wheelbase one can go and still fit an average headache rack without clearance issues?

That's gonna depend on the truck, the fifth wheel, and the sleeper size. I have a T680 with a 76" sleeper, a 226" wheelbase, and a short slide on my fifth wheel. My headache rack is as close as possible to the sleeper, my fifth wheel is essentially fixed all the way to the rear, and I can't even have an inch of overhang or I will hit the headache rack. It's so tight that I have to pull the headache rack off anytime I pull a van
