Yes on the street

 

I picked up in Columbus yesterday morning....drove up and dumped that Coca Cola load on the yard in Coon Rapids for local delivery and grabbed an empty. Ran down to St Cloud and was 4 hrs early at Artic CS. I pulled out one hr before my appointment... which is a miracle....
Ran down to Albert Lea MN... headed to Oklahoma
Finally ran out of the rain... which I have been stuck in for about 4 days......

 

Change of plans for me. On my way to Newport. Then Picking up in Farmington MN going to Fargo then something back to the cities then Willmar to Seattle

 

This is exactly what I told Chad during one of the teleconferences we had last year. I suggested that the company could pay for any increase in fuel cost (caused by faster driving) by offsetting the driver's points based on fuel economy. He said he liked for drivers to be able to have options like that & would look into it. Last I heard of it.

 

I put this review on Google the other day

"No onsite parking really...you can park on the street overnight if you need to though. Kinda a cluster.... Receiving starts at midnight and goes till sometime early morn. PARK ON THE STREET THEN WALK TO CHECK IN! Then you will get a door, dock and drop, the park back on the street and wait for a call. Whole process took about an hour and a half. Not too bad except for the parking. Place is a little tight but nice people and fairly quick. Overall not horrible."

 

Everyone on here should leave info like that on Google Reviews at shippers and receivers.

 

Anyone been to the Ochelata OK Walmart DC?

 

I have been considering having a Magnum driver app (unofficially) developed for us to log into and leave our own notes. Something with a map where we can mark parking spots and leave loading times, how early you can get loaded/unloaded, leave tips for each other, etc.

 

Would be very cool dude, let me know if I can help

 

if we had a Magnum app, what would everyone like to see in it? As of right now, what I'm looking into is easy access to customer information. Nothing about linking to logs or anything. Just customer and parking info.

Magnum driver's would be able to:
- pin a customers location on a map, based on address or "clicking" the correct spot
- input customer info, such as: name, address, phone number, shipping/receiving hours, rather or not you can show up early and how early, rather or not there is on site parking (staging only or overnight)
- also bring up other pins within (20? 30?) Miles of customer location where there is truck parking
- "other" driver notes

Obviously this would have to be password protected or some form of security so only Magnum employees can view this information. But I'm not trying to have individual accounts. I want to keep this as slim as possible. Maybe our own google accounts can be integrated somehow.

I'm intentionally leaving out a "rating" system. but if there are any arguments to have a rating in there, I'm all ears.

I'm not gonna be making this myself. I'll have some professionals give some quotes to develop it. (Time and expertise are not on my side)

Please, any and all input is welcomed. It's not gonna be "my" app, it will be "our" app.
