I started with ratchet binders and like them in most situations. I picked up 6 snap binders from the company store and use them too when needed. There are times when it works a lot better and easier. The ones they have there in Louisville are good and priced right.

 

I was told they added a second trailer with a few more different load scenarios. I'm sure they will let you tarp some there before you leave.

 

You think I would save money buying all my flatbed equipment from Mercer?

 

You can find some cheap ones in some Facebook groups i see sets going for 1k chains straps and binders. Some have tarps for 1500 with rack and all

Just call them and ask for prices. But chances are no. While mercer doesn't make money on their stuff, they do gotta mark it up enough to pay for the two employees that work the store.

As fur that kit. You will need more 4 inch straps and another box of tarp straps. And check if the binders are snap or ratchet. If snap only, try to seer if they will let you pay more to upgrade to ratchet binders.

Took another look. It specifies ratchet binders. That's a pretty good deal for a guy that needs everything. Add another 8 or so 4 inch straps, another 50 tarp bungees and a headache rack.

 

In fact yes. If a guy so chooses he can send in his paperwork by trippak. But he has to pay for it.

Hey @mtoo when did mercer stop paying for trippak overnight envelopes? You were here long before any of the rest of us so maybe you can shed some light on that.

 

They are priced fair. You can find some of the same items at mytee products.
