Looks like I'm chasing you all to Texas. I'll be unloading tonight in Waxahachie & then dead heading home for the weekend. I'm looking to try to be in Louisville for memorial day weekend if I have to layover somewhere. Not sure what the freight will look like for that weekend.

Will anyone be in Louisville on Saturday? We will be in the yard to pick up some tarps that we bought.

Any time I have loaded them they have our set a coil rack and dunnage for the first and last coils. Then they line up the rest in a row. Input a 4 inch strap through the rear coil then pass each end forward and through the coil in front of it. The strap will look like an x strap. Do the same to the next coil until you get to the center coil. From the front coil do the same working your way to the center coil. When you are done the first and last coils should have 1 -4 inch strap and all others will have 2. Also on the first, center, and last coils I put an x strap through and over the top of the coils to prevent them from laying over. This is probably clear as mud. Forgot to mention this is for coils with the eye to the side. If they load them shotgun, eye forward. I use a 4 inch strap and put it on an angle crossing each coil. I then use dunnage angled up in the first coil with a strap pulling aft and dunnage angled up on the rear coil with a strap pulling forward. Wherever you load, I'm sure you will see other drivers securing the same load.

It's an ocean of flatbeds in Houston and knowing human nature helps a ton. It's like picking cherries when ya get there on the correct days. I got a few places where Thurs or Friday works well.
