Nope, I no longer work for A&R. When I did I worked out of Morris. I moved to Hoffman Transportation about 8 months ago.

Hey Guys, I'm jumping on this thread even though its old. I've been a driver at A&R Transport for about a year and a half. I've done some system work and some local. I made decent money last year and was pretty sure I could beat it by a long shot this year but things seem a little unstable. I'm wondering if anyone has a current take on the company from another point of view of my own. I hear my fellow drivers in the area but I'd like to hear from other terminal drivers. How's it going?

A few pointers please.
I' a new driver for A&R started in January out of the Morris terminal. I'm finding it hard to make good money with the time I'm spending working . I work up to 14hrs a day everyday mostly cause of my loading times and loading out of a different yard the past couple of weeks I've been loading out of Summit. Il which they say is good and easy product to load. But the equipment they give me is a little shotty to say the least. I want this job to work out but my patients and money is running thin. -
So I guess what I'm asking is how do I get my loading times down and still get the amount of product the customer wants. Oh and my training was good but we didn' get to load everyday most days was preloaded trailers or blowbacks at KTN into a railcar
