If that's all he's getting off lucky. Would seem an obvious candidate for the maximum penalties under the fmcsa rule against using a hand held device while operating a cmv.

It was a suggestion for Mr. Ed's buddy... I have the kind that goes around my neck, and I tuck it in my pocket protector when not in use~! ;)

Mr Ed and KillingTime Thank this.

ps: Better that you pick on "me" here, instead of poor Boattle in his "no more boxes" thread. And NO, that's not an invite.. poor kid.

    Mr Ed Thanks this.

First he confessed to holding the phone, how else could he have dropped it?Violation #1 $2750 fine and CSA/PSP points.

Second he confessed to reaching for it which is also a violation written into the regs. Another $2750 fine for this one.

Then flipping the rig is failing to maintain control with a distracted driving kicker.

A decent lawyer can plea this down to a parking ticket.

I'm a little confused on what to do. Should I be outraged and ashamed because a fellow 'professional' was using his phone while driving and rolled his truck...

Or should I be laughing my ### off because the idiot actually admitted that he was on his phone and dropped it and rolled the truck while trying to pick it up...

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

Get a neck lanyard and a pocket protector, so it doesn't happen to you. There, @KillingTime & @bzinger ... beat you to it. Oh yeah....has to be a flip fone to work.

    bzinger and Friday Thank this.
