So you get home Monday?? And yeah, I remember the OTR days...... I'd get CLOSEST to where I needed to be, and "do without" sometimes, in the hopes of getting DONE sooner. Canned spam and crackers were my friends.... just for the extra hometime, LoL~!

Bud A. and 19d Thank this.

Supposed to be home Monday but I was suppose to leave yesterday 2080 miles round trip 65 mph truck and a few mountains did 690 today have 350 to delivery hopefully I can do 350 back to the truck stop I'm at now and do 690 back to the house but that's very wishful thinking

Work your clock wisely..... It really seems do'able. I was gov'd at 65 also. Just AVOID the high traffic times for "idiots..." Have you left yet? Can you run recaps til your 34 on Monday? HOS creativity, even on ELD's.... is possible. Wish you the best, man. Stay safe.

Guess I'm in the same boat as you two. I have a load of caustic and then bleach for tomorrow. Then I got one load of bleach for Monday.

After a really F'ed up week, I'm hauling propane all weekend. The boss thinks we're gonna pick up a new account, but I bet the only reason we're hauling it is because the custoner's drivers won't work this weekend.

Honestly I was really hoping for a shorty Thursday, another on Friday, then maybe take a load home Friday to deliver Monday. I'm going to be hurting for $$$ next week.

On the other hand, I probably wouldn't have gone with my mom and brother to decorate graves today if I had done that. I haven't gone with Mom to do that since the 80s. I hadn't been to Dad's grave since I put his ashes in the ground two years ago. (I'm the least emotional one in the family, so suddenly that was my job when the time came.)

Last year my brother found a cemetery up in South Dakota where we have some people buried, not far from where Mom grew up. She'd never been to visit these graves until last year. These are her grandmother's parents and some of her grandmother's siblings. They lived in a sod house when they first got here in the 1870s.

Wow.... just Wow.. You have my heartfelt compassion (for lack of a better word, and I'm usually pretty verbose!) on that one... man. I'm just wow. What a Blessed man you are. I'm not often speechless. Ya got me. History is amazing, and at times... painful. I know that from some of my local history, as well.
Kudos; Happy Memorial Day... enjoy your time ... what ever you get; it's all priceless.
