    Don't really know....you can have a e-log in a mechanical engine. The eld just can't talk to the engine... you have to manually input info.....

    It's not a loop hole they are only required on truck manufactured 2000 or newer. And all trucks are required to have some paper logs with them as back up it it breaks. Know the law guys it will save you from getting fines.
