you can but you have to get a med waiver or something like that from your doc then give it to your dot physician and hope he's not a dick then you hope you can find a company that will take you as some wont couse it raises there insurance. it makes everything a pain in the rear.

It is possible that he just needs you to do an office visit before he re ups your prescription.
I am prescribed Lipitor and I only get so many refills before I get the call that I need to come in and do an office vist before I can be given another batch of refills.

You "can" agree with that, but "will" you agree with that?

Real close to fine dining compared to the rest of the junk available at truck stops.

OK. So your wondering if ever disclose my broken back, broken ankles, fractured hip, 3rd degree burns, broken nose ( 3 times ), asthma.

The proper response to every question is no. In fact I just got another two year card a few weeks ago.

There was a dude in there with his entire face tattooed with God only knows how many small tattoo's. Now how can the doctor look at that individuals form and not ask how come he didn't check the box asking if there are any mental or psychological issues?

Nancy Reagan told you what to say a long time ago. Just say "no'.

I've been driving since 1994, I've never seen or heard of non-DOT doctor calling DOT doctor to rat out a patient. People these days seem to have this compulsion to tell everything about their life to every person they ever contact. DON'T BE THAT GUY, in relations to doctors. They aren't your friend. drinking buddy, priest/pastor. They are doctors that know medicine, that's what you use them for.

When I went to get my last physical, I answered the question that I was on no meds, and I wasn't. When I finally got in to see the Dr., he questioned me about it and said my file said I was on "so in so". I told him he was crazy and that I would be the one to know if I were taking meds. I don't even take things like Tylenol over once or twice a year. Then he mentioned it was for acid reflux.

I then recalled that I went to the same office over a year ago with stomach problems. They prescribed me something, I took them until the bottle ran out, and I quit. Never had a problem after that so I guess I was cured. For some reason my records had me still on it and he was trying to catch me in lying on the form. I had honestly forgotten about even going to the Dr. until he brought it up. He still didn't like my answer but finally dropped it.

I scan through the other responses pretty fast, but if the question wasn't asked, I'll ask it now.

if you have a problem with focusing and keeping your attention, are you sure you want to driving 80000 lb rig...there may be a better vocation...and safer

no offense meant, I hope none was taken

I really don't know how to explain this but there are certain things that stimulate my ability to concentrate driving is one of them. 20 years of driving and not one ticket or accident. I'm more aware of my surroundings then the average person always checking my mirrors and looking down the road for deer, cars and people on the side of the road.
