Ok man. Look I get it. Not a argument really. Just a different perspective. I think I know what your new endeavors are and I wish you luck. I truly do.
It's not that I'm a F the government guy, it's just amazing to me that with all this talk of Elds this issue seems to bother no one.
You seem to rail about Eld's like they are the Boogeyman but are ok with dpf, def and all the other issues that are actually Federally mandated. As a owner operator you will most likely find emmisions are your Boogeyman....not Eld's. As I said I really wish you luck, hell I enjoy your posts. Just a different perspective I guess.

It does seem unfair that some people can't operate in one state because of their equipment. Almost as unfair as having to breathe the air some of those machines put out.

You go this route, older rig, no ELD, register it as an antique truck to get around CARB. Found this jewel up for sale today.

I think old vehicles are just what they are, old. Some guy was talking about having his drive axles on his Volvo completely redone cause they had like 1.3 million on them or something, and he didn't want the wheels to fall off
Why do you want to run in California anyhow?

DPF filter is just an extra PM service to do, to keep it hassle free.

And I've eliminated the dispatcher. The dispatcher has always been the number one cause of violating HOS.

What? A Volvo with 1.3 million and wheels falling off. You have lost me. I'm speechless to your first point.
As to CA I don't want to and nor will run there. Now if they just felt the same about my tax dollars.

You don't even want to go to California, but have half a dozen posts complaining that your truck isn't allowed in California.

You're really my cousin aren't you?
