About the same as any other carrier then haha

I'd be out there a week at a time so I could take advantage of the system I guess

Are you familiar with the term event horizon? If not, that's the point in which light can not escape the gravity of a black hole. Colorado is mercers event horizon. In the lat five years I've been there about 20 times. Exactly once was my deadhead under 500 miles and it was a short load to southwest kansas.

If you lived there and was willing to only be home once every 5 or 6 weeks it wouldnt be so bad. By the time you was ready to leave the house you'd have your pick of the few loads around. Just like me down here in south Florida.

Colorado does fall into the 11 western states though, so if you stayed on the western board, you could pretty much always have pick of the litter, then it might not be so bad.

I was a captured truck once in Denver. I got unloaded and the receiver asked what I was going to do. I told him I was putting it in the wind and bouncing home to Billings.

He said if I wanted to hang around for a couple hours while they went thru the load they just took off of me. They could put about a third of it back on me and I could take it to Casper if I wanted.

Did it pay anything? just the going very cheap Denver rate, but I didn't go a mile out of my way.

Denver is a big black cheap hole. I lived in Mt for many years while leased to Mercer. Mt is another big black cheap hole, I would not suggest anyone living in either state to lease on to Mercer. That being said you can live either state and be successful at Mercer, lived in Mt in 1988 when I signed on until 2008 when I moved to Tn.

Understood. I haven't decided anything final on CO but I did want to know.

I've heard that getting your tarps and canvas elsewhere than the shop in Louisville. I have access to a three door enclosed rack and some odds and ends chains, straps and other things I'd need to sift through. Is there anything else that I should get beforehand?

And I would like opinions on MAC flatbed. I've only messed with Maverick's version of Reitnouers.

Mac makes a very good flatbed. They are in the top tier.

Do MACs produce enough added profit to justify the extra cost? They look pretty pricey.
