    I've not heard good things at all about Memphis; never had to stop there myself. Glad the guy is okay, though. Thanks for posting.

    This kind of thing terrifies me. I'm about to start over the road for the first time soon. I'm a tall but slender person. Never been in a physical confrontation in my life. I would love nothing better than to carry an AR-15 in my sleeper but big brother says no.

    Anyone got a list of places I can avoid stopping at? Ill add Memphis to my list. I guess Its just unavoidable to stop in shady places. really wish I could arm myself

    Those Pilots (there are 2 of them literally across the street from each other) aren't exactly top notch location wise(they're about 5 minutes from Marten's Memphis terminal). Even fueling there can be a hazardous proposition sometimes because of possible pump rage and someone could be carrying "hardware"!

    He probably would have been okay if he ate at the Subway within the Pilot. I'm thinking that he was a target because he went to the Church's around the corner, walking in the dark. Probably would have been better to drop the trailer and bobtail there.

    And then the perps would've tried to get at the trailer. Memphis and West Memphis,AR are notorious for issues with cargo theft.
