Have you ever driven any Carpenter or Crown School Buses?
That company Carpenter is long gone now something about bad welds and the buses were caving in on roll over tests.
The school bus business is always fascinating.
I started a thread on here about South Carolinas school bus fleet. if you search info on South Carolina school buses it comes up. I'd link it but I'm on my phone because I moved last week and my cable isn't hooked up yet.

We had several occasions where we had one driver bump a dock for a drop while a second driver sat next to him for a pickup.

It's even funnier when two or more people show up to make a delivery. Those window lickers in charge of the routing tend to run out of crayons to eat and take it out on us.

Had a 6.2 slug-a-matic in a 84 Chevy 1 ton van. Used to joke it was for you and 14 of your closest friends! Roast the tires anytime you wanted to , just hold the brakes. 0 to 60 in five min. But 20 mpg no matter what you hooked behind it.

Not sure how to answer that one, but thanks for the lesson. I've driven many different school buses, never a Ford though, but sounds like an old International or GMC too. I have never had to know as much as the heavy duty mechanics who fix the buses, they try to teach us what they know, but only so much time in a day waiting for kids. I had one bus that would only do about 10 mph up your average hill in the city and that's with about 50 kids on board, hilarious, it was an International with about 700K miles on it.

Nope, never drove those, I just like that a bus is like a tank, much more safe for the kids, only other things to do major harm is another semi or train. Like tankers, we have to stop and listen at all uncontrolled train intersections, scary s***.
