I keep hearing about foodservice jobs but how does one go about finding them? I'm from Las Vegas.

I really have nothing to add, but if I were interviewing you for a job I'd ask you to elaborate on the connection between the improving economy and the slowing of the recovery business. I'm not saying your reason isn't valid, just that "the economy" is a common excuse job applicants often use to gloss over the real reason for being unemployed.

What you do is drive by the restaurants and casino's late at night or early in the morning 4-5am and see who is delivering at the loading dock you'll see all kinds of rigs you'll probably see Sysco or US Foods or that one company from Los Angeles there's all sorts of them.
Also find out if Las Vegas has a food terminal or cold storage warehouse and on a regular week day around lunch time drive by the cold storage warehouse and take a note of all the day cab trucks you see.
Also try Martin Brower or Golden State Foods they do McDonalds and I'm sure they have a warehouse somewhere near by. -
I did apply at one place off Craigslist. The place I applied said the owner where I am working gave me a recommendation and a great review, but their insurer said I needed a full time behind the wheel position they could verify. I have a PSP with 1 entry from a Level 3 back in March, but the rig belonged to a mega, which raised a red flag with the insurer. They said the insurer was not comfortable with an inspection from a mega that normally reports via HireRight, but there is no HireRight Record, and the mega said I never worked there. They said to find a training company, and come back in 6 months.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
