I need to get from Cape May Court House NJ to Manahawkin NJ. The 9 runs into the parkway at the bridges. Can I use the parkway to get over them or do I need to go around on 50? No local truckers around over the holiday. Every store I delivered to was without a delivery truck. The stores don't have any idea.
Thanks.

The New Jersey truck map should help you along with a standard moter carriers atlas.

The atlas doesent show it as a truck route? Mater of fact it doesn't show any truck routes down here? I use google maps, an atlas and common since the rest of my trucking life. I guess that doesent work over this way? Got kicked off a parkway the first day I got here by the highway patrol. I asked him if I missed the no truck sign? He sad no sign your just supposed to know!!!! Lol

I'm not sure that makes it any clearer for me but thanks.

Not sure if you're from NJ. I was raised there most my life and will tell you there are very low bridges on the parkway, NEVER drive a truck there unless you want to be on YouTube demonstrating how a bridge opens a trailer like a can opener. Some spots a small box truck can BARELY make. I'm talking about those box trucks rent a center has that don't require a CDL to operate.

Yes, the Parkway is okay for trucks as long as you're South of Tinton Falls. I grew up in Atlantic County, NJ and I've used the road to deadhead to Church & Dwight up in Lakewood several times leaving the house.

I thought that 9 shares a bridge with the parkway near Perth Amboy..... but the roads are separated by barriers....

South of nj 18 is fair game. North of 18 you'll get ticket.

God I hate this place!! 26 stops all over New York and New Jersy. This side of the state looks nice but I would rather be here in a car. lol I get around Chicago, LA, San Fran, Houston and Dallas just fine. Penn, NY and New Jersy just mess me up. Spent the whole weekend in a toll plaza.

Haha. And for most other states you time the arrival at a mile a minute or so. Say in Texas something is 180 miles away you say 3 hour drive. Well Jersey a 30 mile drive is somewhere between an hour to 90 minutes. My company had this policy where if you're closer then 60 miles you had to leave your truck at that drop yard. I'm actually 45 miles from their jersey drop yard. It took some convincing to make an exemption for me.NavigatorWife and Tug Toy Thank this.
