Pete, you can change the end of a cord to any type plug you wish . The difference in the plugs are for different amps or voltage. a house plug is more commonly used for 20 or 15 amps. Higher voltages use the larger plugs. What are your amp needs for the total load?

You can get twist lock adapters that have 240v on the male twist lock end and two 110v female standard household on the other. Home Depot or lowes for about $25 in the extension cord aisle. Frank
