By the way, enjoyed talking with you yesterday,. I drove from tx line at orange to Sealy, tx while talking.

Right after I got off the phone I had an adventure,. My back tarp was fastened with rubber rope ,. I had about the first 16 foot or more fastened with one section of rubber rope , it broke , got loose , as if lifted it came thru d rings and I ended with the rear tarp blown over from the drivers side to right side, flapping like a giant buzzard, saw a loves ahead, pulled in and retarded,. First time I ever had a tarp come loose to that extent, I figured out what I did to cause it,. I always use bungees on the first grommet holes , so if a section of rubber rope breaks what happened won't occur,. Well I didn't do that this time , it was quite warm in Texas yesterday afternoon

Ya, you got me from West Memphis pretty far east into Tennessee... Thanks for offering and taking the time to give me some advice/ answer some questions I had.

LOL on the tarp, I thought I was the rookie :p Hot as Hell in Texas and Arizona LOL... Glad I departed that area for a bit.

I thought about buying some of that rubber rope and giving it a try... Is that pretty much your standard way of tarping using the rope versus bungees? What's the pros vs cons? I'm guessing one pro is not having the bungees snap and hit you or snap and cut into the tarp...

Well went from Arizona on I-40 to Tennessee, then up 81 in Virgiana to 95 in New Jersey and every weight station that was "open" made me pull in so, I'm like 0-10 so far with the Drivewyze scale bypass deal that's on the QC... LOL....

It goofed twice on 40 in Oklahoma, it notified me I was approaching a scale twice and then it gave me the green light both times but there was no scale or even a parking area where they sometimes set up the portable scales, so it was kind of weird...

For $11.00 a month I'd be satisfied with just a couple green lights a week on scales that are actually open... I'll be keeping an eye on it...

BTW the load I had was only 14k Maybe when I have that 46k load ill get bypasses at every scale

Lol. I had deadhead getting to that load too. It looked good but like I said I learned a lot too. It was still better than the .90¢ a mile I was doing before.
I wonder if it's the same person I added a few weeks
    ago?
you really need hooks on your trailer for that rope to work well. Tarps suck.
