So I passed all my CDL test and have 2 primary companies to choose from LTI or Freymiller . LTI Orientation starts next week and is my first choice since they pay 20 cents a mile more, and prefer their service area. Freymiller orientation does not start until 7/25. Is there any reason you wouldn't go with LTI ? Or any other thoughts?

20 cents?? Wow. 18 years ago I started at .28 as a rookie and within 6 months was at .35. Is .20 really the going rate for new drivers????

20 cents per mile? That's horrible. You can do a lot better than that right outta the gate. Keep looking.

Don't know much about LTI. Hear lots of good things about Freymiller @Ssand Man. But 20 cents more a mile is like a night and day difference....if they have the miles.

If you have questions about how it really is at Freymiller, Sand will give you the truth.

Yea good point higher mileage rates doesn't mean anything if you're not getting the miles. Freymiller has been around a long time.

I've driven for LTI for almost 6 years & like it more than the other 3 companies I've driven for. Never driven for Freymiller but LTI treats you well and pays good. Miles and pay depends on the fleet you choose though. I drive for candy dedicated fleet.

20 cents is a lot. That's why we're out here. For the $money!
However, if you're not getting good miles, they can pay all they want.
I have PROVEN time and again to Freymiller that I know how to run, and they run me.
As a Daisy fresh rookie tho, I'm afraid Freymiller may not be the best fit for you. This is a "Big Boy" company. I've stated that many times. When I came on board, you HAD to have 3 years OTR experience just to apply. A lot of "expierenced" drivers cant make it here. Beacause THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO RUN!! You may get lost in the cracks here. As far as I know, they're not going to hold your hand and spoon feed you while you're trying to learn this industry. I don't know anything at all about LTI, so anything I would say would be pure speculation. Freymiller has GREAT equipment, which makes life on the road a lot more comfortable. That's something you should think about, when you're out here for 30 days, or more, at a time.
Feel free to ask me anything. If I don't know the answer, I'll point you not who does have the answer.

I do have experience just not recent. What is Freymiller's "Hometime Policy " and how does it work in the real world?
