Walmart here I come!

I see complaints all over online about all the changes but imo we've got it made there's not many places your gonna go and have it this easy and make 1600/2000 a week and sleep in your own bed 3 times in 7 days, I've only been here 2 years and haven't regret my decision once, it's as simple as put the cell phone in the bunk area while driving don't flip anyone off and y'all will be okay only thing that makes me nervous is getting caught saying you gotta be frikin kidding me when someone pulls a dumb move guess we all better get used to saying frikin instead of the other word

 

I drive trucks with cameras and cuss at motorist all the time when they pull stupid stunts infront of me and still work here.

 

Hey guys does anyone know long it usually takes to get a phone call after applying? I'm not trying to be impatient, I'm just curious. I know the DC I applied at is still listed on the website and was listed a few weeks before I decided to apply so didn't know it meant they were interested in my app or not

 

They start calling once it taken down from the web site and start calling by the first one that applied

 

They have a strict policy of contacting you between later the same day you applied and 3 months out. It really just depends.

 

Actually for me I applied in August 2nd and was contacted December 27th. And my friend applied last month and they contacted him 4 days later. So it can vary. Just don't give up hope. You can check your status online.

Can anyone tell me what happens if you violate HOS with Walmart? I went 1 minute over while backing into a dock thought I was On-duty but was on driving line and logged an HOS violation.

 

You might get a write up, just don't do it again or often for a year and you'll be fine. Guys have gone over many more minutes than that and still work here. Don't sweat it!

 

Put my application in about 2 weeks ago and they called me yesterday for my phone interview which is today. 7 questions on the interview? Anyway a 20 year rookie here with a pretty good record. From what I read there's gonna be a fair amount of culture "adjustment" (not to mention 20 years of bad habits to break for the road test lol); but here's hoping. Looking forward to making the kind of $$$ I've been reading about. 1 question .....these shift schedules 5/3, 5/2. Are they hard and fast? Or could I stay out longer if I wanted.....I ask because of the slip seating policy, if I'm gonna have to, I'd like to do it as little as possible. Thanks
