You can stay out longer, but you just need to slip into another truck on the 5th day. But if you work your hours to the max which is easy to do here you'll have 5 or less hours by the end of the week to work with.

So basically I'll be changing trucks every 5 days regardless. Well that WILL be an adjustment. Thanks

Better than 2-3 times a week if you slip seat. With the possible changes on the way it maybe years before you get your own truck. Jump on a program, more drivers than you'd think are on programs here.

If your on a program (5/2 5/3) like me and want to extend, can you sleep in the same truck and just switch over in the morning before your partner comes in to use the truck? Because I would probably extend on the end of my 5 days on the week I have 3 days off, but I don't want to spend hours moving all my stuff over to another truck. If I could sleep in the same truck then I could pack up my car in the morning and just take a small bag (supplies) in the different truck for 8 hours that I would have left on my 70. And I could just use a day cab for that little time I have left on my 70.

When I was on 5/2 5/3 I was gun ho at first swapping out on my 5th day saving on my 70 then I realized most weeks all I'd have left is like 6hrs. So I said the heck with that why waste a full day off for a 100.00 dollars worth of loads plus a layover. You start to like them 3 days off and look forward to them. Especially if your commute is far
