Wow adding 300 more? I've only stopped there to fuel once and they had a shuttle picking drivers up from the parking lot and bringing them up to the building. Was surprised to see that....

Stopped here tonight... I hope they plan on adding more staff with the parking lot addition... 8 service bays and only 2 mechanics on duty... Popeys Chicken his at least 15 people in line, 3 people working... Restaurant is packed, but yet they have 2 areas with "section closed" sign up... Needs help... I was going to stop at the Lee high but since I heard they took out the restaurant and are currently putting in IHOP, figured I'd pass on it.... and they do have the shuttle, kind of unreal that people are that lazy.

I have a Question for you Mercer folks. Apologize if it's been asked before. I don't have the time to look thru this monster thread. Anyway... How well would a driver do on flat or step runnin' out of the Baltimore area?

You would do just fine in that area. Its not quite as good as Cincinnati but its certainly a lot better than say Savannah or atlanta. Especially if you don't mind running up 95. So many of us have gotten spoiled and lazy that we try very hard not to go north of Richmond or east of Pittsburgh so there will be little competition for loads going to or out of Baltimore.

I appreciate the response. I live right outside of Baltimore to the South. And was curious about this area See alot of you guys down at the 104. Hope it works out I have seen alot of positive from guys working for Mercer. My brother was on over there for a while but pulled van. I want to get back on a flat or step deck.

Maryland has some good freight. When my normal area runs a little cool I jump over there for a bit as I know I can get some good loads. I would spend more time there but I don't know all the places to park. Living there I would think you have a better idea of where you can park in a pinch. You would do fine from there IMO.

I do better out of Boston, mass than Baltimore. You can get out of there with something out of the port , usually a bit heavy and tarps, fw other places we have stuff regular , in Maryland but a little ways out of Baltimore , I run the northeast on a regular basis , on my way there now.
