I've been reading that mercer forum for almost a week and kept going back to the Mercer site and it says"

This is what I'm going on their standards are as of now, anything else I suggest giving a call for clarifacation of any questions anyone has!!!!

 

So if you were doing an extended run system like i am. Would you put the extra gas tank inside another box just in case some how it leaks? Thinking of putting it inside a toolbox to keep it hidden and just in case it gets damaged it won't leak on the ground. Or would you just leave it in the open?

 

Me personally, I wouldn't keep it secured to just the deck of the truck but yes I would keep it inside of your tool box. But if ya keep it in your toolbox then your gonna be drilling holes in it to get a fuel line out to the jenny. If you watch some of supertruckerdan's video's on youtube he has a diesel jenny and if not mistaken he tapped into his fuel line to fuel his jenny. I've watched them all and I think thats what he's done to fuel it, thats why I suggested getting a diesel jenny instead of gas but I read that you bought a gas fueled honda jenny if not mistaken so you can't do why he did and I'm sure you already know this, lol! But if I was you I wouldn't keep your fuel stored with you jenny while its running for sure, and I'm sure you know this also, and make sure that jenny you bought has enough air flow where stored so it won't quit on ya, intake and exhaust holes!

 

I'm just saying all one would need is one year but I plan on running flatbed for at least 18 months - 2 years so I have some knoledge of the flatbed side. There is one thing about flatbed I really like, a person can say they do but never knows everything about flatbed. There are to many changes and variables involved!!!!!!

I like it in theory as well. I never agreed with giving a advantage to one truck over another based irrelevant factors. This way seems a bit more fair and transparent.

 

Reasons why I don't sit at truck stops restaurants. Decided to eat this morning at Dennys. Driver sat down and started talking all this ########. Says he's leased to Werner and paid his truck off 3 months ago. Well if he paid a 45,000 truck off in under 2 years at 1.03 good for him. Then came the bs. He use to run oversized loads out of the state at 18 years old with no OD permits and blah blah. That the DOD paid for someone to get a new truck after the engine failed. Oh his friend picked up a dod load out of south CA. They filled his truck up with fuel and they ran over Night at 120mph with no lights on at all. To the middle of no where. Then he was lowered into the ground and they unloaded him. This dude was 22 years old... Guess I'm gonna keep my food orders to go....

 

Lol, goes for driver's lounges as well. It's why I stay in my truck so much.

 

I would call to check and be sure. I have nearly 10 years experience with 90% of it with companies who don't use DAC and it wasn't as cut and dry as I thought getting on here... ( been here little over a month ). I had issues with former employers calling Mercer back... Ended up having to dig up old log and pay stub records from a couple years back. I was approved for Mercer back in 2014 with no problems, although decided not to come then... Seemed harder for me to get approved in 2017 with them...... I'm from Chicago though, folks get intimidated when they see that on the application LOL

 

I second that, I had to dig up old pay stubs and W2s to satisfy them.
