    Depends on individual situation.

CDL with or without employed driving experience? If experience, what type...

Most likely just simulator test. Then, they may decide on straight to TNT, or if accelerated PSD needed.

Only way to get a manual now at Prime is luck of a prexisting one becoming available, special ordering a lease purchase (which cannot be done unless you have previously successfully completed a lease), or bringing on your own truck.

Going to get nothing but harder to find at a most of the megas from this point out, into future. They're all going that way. Inevitability of progress, like it or not. Direct competition will force them to keep up with each other.

It 'tis what it is, for better or worse.

My first company lightweight truck was 58 pedal and 62 cruise
My current company lightweight truck is 62 pedal and 62 cruise

Not sure if it is suppose to be 58/62 or 62/62 for company spec
When I got my new truck in the shop after my initial inspection they did not hook up the laptop to it or give me the aero wheel covers or the anti siphon protection
So I am happy to be 62 on the pedal, I have yet to complain :)

I was doing recoveries for a company, but Prime does not consider it experience. I may go grab a refresher since it is free to me and get an 8 hour cert on top of the 160 hour cert from school. Debating, was told PSD is certain without the 8 hour refresher. I have not ever used a simulator, my school does not have them, all time is behind the wheel time.

They just check company trucks to make sure they are in spec more often. Like glass, replacing a windshield only takes -10 minutes. Sure enough someone will pop out of the woodwork and hook up a laptop to make sure the governed speeds are set right.

There must be some kind of paid incentive for them to be so, umm, enthusiastic about it. :)
