Back in June I booked a steel load that weighed 44000 according to the load screen. I can carry 46400. During loading the dude told me they had to take one bundle off or I would be 80300. I said take it off. the load paid by weigh. The other day I get a overpayment notice on the load and they are going to deduct 150.00 from my pay on that load plus, a portion of the fuel sc. Now I understand that the load paid by weight but.....I would of never of taken the load had I known what the true weight was going to be. So I feel the agent, or shipper was not posting the actual weight just wanted to get the load moved by using deception.

I feel your pain. I learned the hard way that you have to read the notes. And I like you realized I couldn't get too mad. The notes are there and they are there for a reason. It stinks when you are expecting one thing and something else happens. I'm glad you made your flight. We all live and learn.

Ha, I just got paid detention for a load I don't remember. It's a cruel game at times but it seems to work out in the end.

That was always fun, money shows up for no reason then try to figure out what it was. A couple months go by and your dealing with today's issues. Not the load that fell thru or the one that so slow loading/unloading months ago. It was always like "I'll be darn, didn't think that would go thru"

    CJndaTruck and RStewart Thank this.

That's because they pretty much only use cab over trucks in Europe. So, coming to the States and seeing our conventional and long nose trucks is a real marvel for them.

That happens quite a bit , they aren't used to seeing such large trucks in Europe. I met a Dutch truckdriver like that in Florida, I let him climb inside and look around, his son translated.

Well they posted it at 44000 in was actually over 46700 so why did they post it at 44000? then post the rate at the 46700 rate.
