Drug testing question!!!

    Ok so I'm about to start working for my dad's car hauling company and I stopped smoking weed 2 month ago so I can pass my DOT exam. We only haul 3 cars in a super duty f350 so we are under the weight limit for CDL. Since the company I work for doesnt require drug tests cause it's family business. Once I pass my DOT exam could I smoke again when I'm off the job and not get in trouble. I went on a truck trip with my dad this year and truckers in Colorado were smoking right at the truck stop. So is there a way to get around that. I also have a Ny medical marijuana licence. What's my best option here. Please help me out.

    Oh boy.… this one has epic potential.

    To answer your question, your best option is to eliminate weed entirely from your life for as long as you hold a CDL

    I don't have a cdl. We are under the 26000 pounds. Also I use weed for chronic pain instead of using very strong opiates

    Grow up, for God's sake. You want a career, any career, then go get it. But leave the silliness in the past. Most of us have partied in the past and it's fun to look back at those times. However, you won't get ANYWHERE in life if you don't leave it in the past.
    Take it from a 55 year old guy who didn't listen when someone told me just what I told you. Save yourself the pain, man...please.

    Take some acid mixed with crystal meth, mixed with crack.... Load that 3 car hauler up and drive fast and take lots of chances

    If by "DOT exam" you mean the physical for your medical card there is no drug test with that. Only for your CDL or with your company. Or both

    So whats the reason for the DOT exam if you arent required to have a CDL?

    No help at all. It's like I'm a drug addict seriously. I use marijuana for chronic pain and I already stopped smoking and put in mind I may have to stop forever. It's not like I'm smoking and driving. I want to relief pain when I'm home. I see truck drivers smoke so there is a way or are they just risking it

    Because you still need a DOT exam card when driving and going into weight stations. It's a requirement. I don't need a CDL cause we are over the 26000 pound limit
