Orientation:
7* last week
6* this week
..and more on the way
(*and not because other drivers
are quitting)
I taked to some of the newbies and some of them
had just barely over 1 year exp . Poly's doing the Walmart
thing ... 1 safe year and you can apply -
Final thought on Poly World :
One thing that may sideline their efforts
to expand is as usual the equipment at Poly
In just under three months I'm now passing 11 breakdowns.
3 of which took the vehicle completely out of service.
The other 8 were roadside 3 to 6 hour setbacks.
(No flats btw , all mechanical failures of one kind or another)
Suddenly can't help but wonder if they will ever get coordinated
enough to expand.
IndianaF150, Bumper and tucker Thank this. -
Maybe the new trucks...will help stop numerous breakdowns
28 Thanks this. -

More drivers means less money for me.
I delivered to Poly West on a recent Thursday and I could not get a load until Monday and then it was not due in WA until Thursday. Although I like the present outbound crew the best in my 5 years here, where is Poly going to get extra office people to keep track of so many drivers? Good help is hard to find, especially with an economy that is heating up.
Drivers time needs to be better utilized with more linehaul .
Example: Backhauls from the NW to Houston area should be given the opportunity to drop 900 diff in GP and these loads could become a regular gig for a local driver who delivers the load to Houston area then brings a load back to GP.
Twice in the last month I was denied a 900 diff in GP and ran out of hours in Baytown and had a steamy 34 hr restart at the TA.Last edited: Aug 11, 2017

Lets hope it lastmushroom1464 and Knucklehead Thank this. -
Left home last Tuesday and have turned 3715 miles with 6 hours left on my 70. Deliver 5 hours away in Baltimore Wednesday and will run recap back to poly to. Staying busy.
Last outing was the slowest I've had it in a while, mainly because 2 backhauls in a row I had to sit 34 hours or more to deliver but still managed 10k miles for 24 or 25 days out. Outing before that was 13k miles for 27-28 days.
Not bad numbers for me. A little busy actually.majestyk, 28, tucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm pretty sure you are. But hey, that's some great miles -
Just kidding! Loltucker Thanks this.
