Hello there fella's, Im a local driver and as you guys know is tough to eat healthy as a city P&D. My question is what do you guys recommend to bring to eat healthy as I'm getting tired of outside food and I really don't want sandwiches as I'm really not a fan of them ever since I was a regional driver.
Any input would be greatly appreciated it.
Thanks

Many states are cracking down on distracted driving. This includes eating while driving. So a bowl of ramen noodles in your cupholder probably won't work out in most cases when you are mobile.
When I eat on the run, it will be a large bag of beef jerky or maybe some trail mix. Focus on high protein cause with P&D you burn a ton of calories.
For lunch I usually stop at an Albertson's or something and grab a snack pack of tuna and then a $0.34 cent roll to stuff it in. Quick calorie and protein boost to keep you moving without excessive fat. Another option I occasionally follow is one of their fancy meal packs that has a small portion of cheese, salami meat, and usually a side of crackers and grapes. Usually around $3.99. fast and filling but most importantly, finger food on the run.
Avoid gas station heat lamp cuisine like the plague. The only thing I buy from them are PB&J sandwiches and an occasional Sobe.born&raisedintheusa, Bob Dobalina, Texas_hwy_287 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I'll take 20 multitasking experienced professional drivers over one moron four wheeler updating their Spacebook or Snapchat status.bentstrider83, Gearjammin' Penguin, Big Don and 1 other person Thank this. -
Man no love for the hard shell tacos with sour cream followed up with a slice of cake or powdered doughnuts. What is this world coming to?

I always enjoy a pizza, cheesteak, onions etc. Whatever the food trucks had in way of the 4 food groups I would toss onto the plate and consume it. Extras were kept in a box ready to go in case I am not able to catch me a roach coach or food truck later in that day.
To and from Philly towards Baltimore on route one stood a number of small places you can sit down and get a meal. They cooked good strong meals in those days and proper nutrition was less of a concern rather focused on meat and bread or taters plus something green. That combination makes energy adequate to the work I did in them days.Dave_in_AZ and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
