When I was a Creten, while I was in line at the inspection bay in Lincoln, I decided to slide my tandems, but they wouldn't release...so I got out my 2 lb'er and released them. The shop said all they heard was a big bang, and saw the head of a hammer come out from under the trailer, then another big bang, and if they ever see me abuse a trailer like that again I would be written up. I said, if you would take care of the maintenance on these ragged pos trailers, and reinstall the spring load assist instead of solid pulls, then I wouldn't have to persuade the pins to move. He tried to convince me that DOT was writing up drivers for having the handle mounted thru the loop end of the spring...which is why they do that...I said b.s., that is why that loop is there.

 

They hate it when you know what your talking about.....

 

WTH is going on with dispatch?
We just lost another one.

 

I just had my Peoplenet turned on last week. It is not even close to having all of the programs working in it yet. I too was shocked to see that there wasnt an edit button. I cant imagine how many calls the Peoplenet guy is going to get for someone forgetting to change status after a break or inspection or fueling......

 

I am gonna keep my comments to myself for now.

Just an FYI there are two new hires in Fargo so staffing is actually increasing, it would be great to have another series of driver calls with Chad so we can get the skinny on future organizational changes, and I'm sure you'll agree Aaron never seemed comfortable in the position.

 

My APU went Tango Uniform. What are the symptoms of the fuse blowing that you all talk about blowing. The a/c will run about 10 minutes then shut down. If I don't turn the a/c on the APU will run. I think the fan on the back of the cab isn't working and it gets them shuts down the system. Any suggestions.

 

if its just the fan check the third fuse down passenger side compartment. Should be a 25 amp. iirc
